i served this lady a latte and 2 hot chocolates for her 2 kids. she leaves and i move on to the next customer. 30 seconds later she comes back in asking for another hot chocolate, claiming that she spilled her first one. we don’t mind doing that for customers but we always try to make sure that the drink was legit spilled. we had someone go outside to check and we didn’t see anything.

we ask her why that is and she says it’s because it was spilled into the gutter outside. we ask her to show us the cup, and she can’t because it fell into the gutter. there was no chocolate or any signs of a spill on the gutter. she demands a refund, but without evidence of a spill it’s against our policy.

she goes nuts, “ARE YOU F*CKING KIDDING ME DO YOU THINK I’M POOR? I’M A LAWYER I DON’T NEED THE MONEY I CAN AFFORD TO PAY FOR ANOTHER ONE IF I WANT TO!”. the manager just gave her the refund so she would shut up
